As part of the Cornwall Council funded 6-Farm Pilot Trenance implemented a system to capture methane from its slurry lagoon, purify and use the methane to power their tractor and local road maintenance vehicles.
Methane emissions reduction meant that the farms carbon footprint was reduced by 90%, while the farmer saved thousands of pounds per year.
